Except that's not the Haruhi pic I'm talking about. The character elements of the Newtype USA pic were used in that wallpaper

). That's the Haruhi pic I'm looking for.
As a matter of fact, I'm sure this article appeared in some form in the Japanese Newtype sometime before the series started airing or while the early episodes were being broadcast.
