The site was down for about a week (not weeks; less than a week total).
The server the site resided on previously was getting very flaky and going down constantly. So instead of sending reboot tickets every few hours I ordered a new server at another company.
However it took some time to get the server set up properly. The first HDD they put into the new server had a "Power On Hours" value of 28895 (do the math), so it had to be replaced. I only got to fully reconfiguring and restoring everything today.
Anyway, the site should work again now. The script might need some more time catching up on the posts from the past week though.
