Something confuses me about this series. I know the anime and game were co-developed hence they're almost kinda interlinking and their release dates of both the game and the story progress is all well planned and everything. I know that there are three main chapters, the 'white chapter' (白の章) which the subs are currently on, the 'green chapter' (緑の章) which involves the characters in the OP but which have not yet appeared in the anime yet (e.g. the one with all the animals) and the secretive 'blue chapter' (青の章) which they keep mostly secret for now...

So how does the story work. Since we get the 'white' chapter in the first third of the series, the 'green' chapter in the next third, does that mean the 'blue chapter' (青の章) rounds it off? I know the 'white chapter' (白の章) lasts only up to ep 9, and then its the 'green chapter' (緑の章) which is currently airing. So a safe guess is:

ep 1-9 'white chapter' (白の章)
ep 10~18 'green chapter' (緑の章)
ep19+ 'blue chapter' (青の章)

Or is that totally off?

I get the impression that the 'white chapter' (白の章) is the modern world since it occurs in 1998-1999. The 'green chapter' (緑の章) looks like the story about the past before the current cast? Since it doesn't seem to involve any mecha whatsoever. Wonder where the 'blue chapter' (青の章) comes in then... in the end its all marketing I guess and gives the company an excuse to release three PS2 games on one series ala. .hack where they milk the franchise as much as possible...

...still a promising anime though~

Yeah, what's the deal with the characters with the animals? They look interesting for a bunch of Twelve Kingdoms rejects. Seems rather out of genre from what I've seen of GPO so far...

I'm up to ep4 and the only reason I keep watching is because I'm waiting for the gratituitous death to start, because god knows there's a lot of characters that deserve it (Noeru, I'm looking at you). Granted, Sara's a rather sad excuse for a commander (a so-so strategist, but a pretty terrible person to have in charge so far), but her insubordinate, undisciplined, malcontent soldiers aren't helping much. I am looking to find out who was the commander before her, because he deserved what he got, most likely, for letting them get this way.
