Huh? She came right out and said it in episode 2, reiterated it in episode 7, was teased about it a number of times, got all flustered over it (and protective of Aaeru) in episode 15, made eyes at her a number of other times, and cried her eyes out over Aaeru's departure in episodes 25 and 26, and still hadn't gotten her off his mind years later. That's "hiding it?"
