in which Shu ends in an impasse while trying to save Inori and understands that it is impossible and there when it starts to remember everything about Mana and the Lost Christmas and there when it will become even more desperate in wanting to save Inori (maybe not to repeat the experience he had with Mana).Mana appears there is some kind of confession / resolution between the two ... Shu draw a new void sword-like from Mana (like the one of Inori ,like you said)and It would not surprise me if the two swords can be merged / combined to create an even stronger / complete version.Any way there is the battle between the two void user .. Shu with Mana's void and the other one with Inori's void(like you said). Shu wins recovers Inori's void.... but the price he must pay for Mana help... is that now he has to deal with both of them everyday

Yeah, that's probably not going to happen... but it would be nice to see an episode like that. I mean, a good sword fight can improve almost any anime (at least during that episode). Damn, that thought made me miss the awesome fights from Rurouni Kenshin (especialy the Kenshin x Saito fight in the Kamiya Dojo... that was an epic moment).

But I'm pretty sure that we'll see something regarding the Mana/Inori relationship in the next few episodes... regarding the "void combination thing", we've already seen that her void can be combined with others (when Shu used her sword along with that other void in order to create the "hyper mega particle cannon" used to destroy BOTH Leucocytes in a single shot). So I really think it's possible that Inori's void is actually an incomplete one, wich can be used in conjuction with other voids to augment their power or "create" new ones.

Since we're entering the "Deus Ex Machina" territory, there's another possibility:

Like I said, this is something that can only be achieved by the mystical powers of the Deus Ex Machina... but what if Shu manages to actually extract and use his own void to rescue Inori? Obviously, that's assuming he won't pass out during the extraction and manages to handle/extract the void in some way...

That sure would be something to make the antagonist's jaws drop to the floor and make'em really scared/confused .
