The translation is a bit off. He's saying that he has to redo his confession for Taiga's sake as well, since she's been helping him so much. As of now, I just see it as him not wanting to waste Taiga's effort to help him and Minori. But it could eventually turn into a slightly twisted thing where he only continues to pursue Minori because of a feeling of indebtedness to Taiga for all her help.
