Haha! The last time I visited this thread, I had already typed out a post praising Shigurui (since you had already seen Texhnolyze and liked it). Then I just thought: "This guy has seen so much, so no way in hell hasn't he seen Shigurui already".
As for what has been suggested: You say you don't like Hellsing. I take it you mean the TV series? In that case I can only second the
Hellsing Ultimate OVA series. It's nothing special, just very good over-the-top and badass action. Or well, it's special in the sense that it's among the most enjoyable action series I have watched.
