Anything can happen because of this. That's almost my biggest problem with it; being unpredictable is not always a good thing.

Fair point, I can understand why its a turn off for some. I don't mind it, but perhaps it's because I've gotten used to it in the story. I just go "It's Medaka Box, wacky shit happens", and roll with it.
Like this chapter. Apparently a certain tentacled teacher showed up and gave Medaka some pointers.
