Thought I'd post it here since I guess K-On! made me want to learn the guitar...
My uncle gave me his Fender Newporter last night and showed me how to change the strings and tune it. I've just been bumming around with it for the past hour or so with a chords book.
It's definitely an interesting feeling. I've always loved writing and drawing to satisfy my creativity but music is definitely something else.
I might just stick with this. Heh.
1986 model Fender Newporter - Korean make but it looks pretty good - with some new D'addario EJ16 strings.
I see he wasn't joking I pulled out the strings and he remarked, "ooh finger slicers!" Even from just bumming around a little the tips of my left hand fingers are hurting a little bit.
And I have such callused hands everywhere else...
