If you think about it the Prince was chasing Nina because of the fun they had together and her selfless act to save him. He didnt know Nina much more than he knew Maya. He was chasing the ideal of who he thought Nina was. Then it turned out that Maya was the person and she was madly head over heels in love with the Prince. Made since once they filled in the blanks at the end. Like why Maya was trying so hard, why she was ready to kill her childhood friend, and why she kept staring at the spider locket all the time. I understood the locket was very important to her but didnt realize where she got it til the end.

And Luna wouldnt look half bad if she got rid of the dark cloud and you could see both eyes. And look at how Yuta acts and dresses. He is a bit of a rebel and Luna would fit that "bad girl" image.
