Randomly, been sort of working on a theory of my own.
Spoiler for Win Conditions:
Alright. This assumes that the Meta-World is real. I'm not really in either the anti-mystery or anti-fantasy group, but there really has been too much of the Meta-world for things really for it to be some huge bizzare fantasy (at least not entirely). I hope. Pulling a "It was all a dream" is kind of a cop out in my opinion. o.O
Anyway, consider the fact that in Episode three Beato changes tactics from [Make Battler surrender completely] to [Make Battler admit that Beatrice is a Witch], on (supposedly) the advice of Virgilia who told her she had mixed up her true goal. Virgilia then goes on to say, that perhaps Battler has mixed his up as well.
If we assume Battler's goal is wrong which is [Prove there is no magic], we have some interesting options. I think, if we follow the pattern of Higurashi (which may or may not be applicable, his goal should be something like [Find the identity of the one behind the murders] or possibly [Prove the murders were not commited with magic (which is a slight difference from the first goal)].
Notice that neither of these goals directly conflicts with Beato's goal of [Make Battler Admit She is a Witch], because the change in goal lets magic (and thus witches) exist.
This opens up the possibilty of a third option. Both Battler and Beatrice can win.
Moreover, these doesn't conflict with Bernkastel's win condition, if she is in fact on Battle'rs side. Her win condition is [Battler wins]. It doesn't necessarily include [Beatrice loses]. Because Bernkastel's goal is (at least as far as we know) to simply beat Lambadelta whose win condition is [Eternal Tie]. As long as Battler wins, no matter what else, Bernkastel wins.
Of course, the problem is then getting Battler to let Beatrice win as well. o.O I dunno, I've still got pieces to put in this theory, but everyone winning (well except Lambadelta) seems to be Ryukishi's style.
