The main focus of This volume is the relation between the English Church, the Roman Catholics, and the Amakusa Catholics, as well as the nun, Ursula Aquinas and the magic tome known as the
"Book of Law".
Spoiler:
The "Book of Law" was written by none other than Aleister Crowley, and is said to have a spell that could summon an Angel. Whether or not it's literal or metaphoric, all the churches agreed that it is a very powerful weapon. Unfortunately, or Fortunately, Aleister Crowley has written the book in such a complex encryption that nobody could understand it- Not even Index.
The story begins when a Roman Catholics Nun, Ursula Aquinas, was kidnapped by the Amakusa Catholics along with the original "Book of Law". Fearing the worst, the Roman Catholics sent an army of Nuns - yes, that's right - to retrieve her and the book back. At the same time, Archbishop Laura Stuart of Necessarius ordered Stiyl and Index to assist them, hoping build up relations with the Italians.
...And Touma got roped into it somehow
