Christie Quartz managing to escape means the Empire is spared an embarrassing diplomatic incident. If indeed she was royalty.
She's smug that she didn't leave evidence.... It's just your ships that blew up not the data recorders of the pirates!
If she was caught she would've had murder charges on her. Unless she can whip up something like diplomatic immunity things would be awkward for the Galactic Empire and Stellar Allliance.
