More info from the CG twitter page:
-Because the Glinda Knights were drawn away from their mission to aid the forces in St. Petersburg by the terrorist attack in the Middle East, it was decided that Suzaku would be sent in their place. (So Suzaku's appearance in episode two is actually because of Orpheus' attack and the damage he did to the Glinda Knights.)
-Orpheus mission in St. Petersburg occurs right before the Narva Rescue Operation done by the Akito and the W-0 right at the beginning of the first episode.
