Not sure how the anime's going to play it, but it's always fun to get caught up in the moment.
Patty wanting to eat the good souls is one of the darkly humorous bits the show comes up with; in-canon you know it's just
wrong...so I found it amusing that she'd say that aloud. She's the Weapon of the shinigami's son for goodness sake! You'd think she'd know better!
