You nailed it for me. The nice thing about Minami-ke for me is the atmosphere. The comedy is valuable too of course, but the show for me is truly an exercise in nostalgia. It's about viewing everyday life from an entirely different lens. For that sake, feeling is very important. As such, the whole thing has to feel natural, nothing has to force itself. This is what the SoL comedy genre is all about, the way I see it.
