How can things look better for her if she never stepped out of her childhood memories. She needs support from someone that can push her foward. For this she needs a good friend and... she don't have one.
Normally any direct approach towards Kodaka will just end in being refused. However for Sena to make such a huge step she must be very confident about this and she only does those things if there is a good mood or opportunity. The one main advantage she has is that Kodaka trusts her so he won't take that offer as a joke.
