They'd be right about that, each set (2 eps) runs about 58 mins. So the total run time is close to 2 hours and believe me there really is no episode cut off and it plays out more like a movie.

The anime follows the game up until the events from chp 4 give or take. A lot of things got switched around or moved along plot wise. Mainly the fact they skipped Ayumi's hunt for the body part bags + the pool scene. Ms. Yui was the one to fine Mayu before she died and well... Morishige ends up going crazy and is stabbed by Kizami. Who then ends up becoming the model in the science room.

Also for the most part it's all bad ends, outside of Ayumi and Naomi no one else lives. The after credits scene is the same as the opening to Book of Shadows (which is the opening to Blood drive's prologue chapter) implying that the OVAs are a valid canon point for Blood Drive's story.

Over all people are going to find it hit or mess, the gore is there and well it lives it up how vivid the text in game was. The plot on the other hand... let's just leave that up to who ever watches it.
