I honestly have to say that I haven't read the manga. But as far as titles go, most of em which are not directly linked to the main character has a deeper meaning in the series (with some exceptions).
(i.e. Hellsing, Cowboy bebop, Trigun (maybe), fullmetal alchemist, etc)
(that's my opinion though, so feel free to rebut)
