I was wondering if there would end up being a shipping war. It is still early, but now we have hints of one. Though I was thinking it be hung on Shima rather than Yamamato.
It is early yet, and the previews tell us we will have more of Yamamoto in episode 10 dealing with the Gamilon pilot. So things might shift even more.
