it's simple really. It's not like that boy with a camera really know everything, why did you believed that Marie was forgotten based on his conclusion alone? He didn't even asked those bully ,who bullied Marie, if they can remember her. Aside from that, just to be realistic, It's not really weird that they forgot about her. I mean when someone you didn't know or didn't care about died can you really remember well who that person is after a year?
