This is a very intense chapter. We finally see what really happened (according to Yukariko) and it isn't pretty. I was right a few chapters back when I stated that Yukariko had no intention of being the sacrifice, and sure enough, she was an active and deliberate participant in Yuuko's sacrifice. But Yukariko didn't expect the "collateral damage", so things ended up much worse than she expected.

Now, as I've stated before, Kirie is the only person who knows Yukariko's secret. Yukariko is already responsible for 2 deaths - will one more matter if it means that she can safely take her secret to her grave? and also Yukariko didn't just randomly point in Yuuko's direction in this version... She pointed right at her and called out her name even with her veil in place! Did she push her down the stairs too or just watch the men do it? Couldn't tell from the mass of hands pushing poor Yuuko. And the broken leg was no accident of the fall down the stairs either, they broke it on purpose so she could not escape.

It didn't stop the epidemic of course.

If this is true I don't like the chances for a happy ending, the mood whiplash would be too much. Yukariko is a monster and the fact that she seemingly lived an extremely long life without being punished for her actions is a tad upsetting.
