I pretty much already got the jist of his video game fixation and the degree to which it controls his life, but did they really need to explain it like this? For a full episode?

I think in the past 3 episodes, they've beaten into our consciousness that he hates reality and would prefer living the rest of his miserable life attached to a game where he can fantasize about digital women. I simply saw it as a filler episode that did not introduce anything new.
