I also remember there's a tutorial for people with normal PSP's without custom firmwares.

I tried it with my own bricked fat and it worked wonders. It's a good alternative for people that don't have custom firmware in the first place.

You can do it easily with a knife and a small needle. You have to remove a pin to manually make it a Pandora.

Then you can use a program called TotalNewbiEasyInstaller(easily googled); with an adaptor or a normal PSP you can make the Pandora files through USB without custom firmware. It gives you the option of loading 3.71 original, 3.71 m33 for the phat PSP, or 3.71 m33 for slims.
