I agree the manga seems a lot better when it comes to interaction between Ferri and Lai'fon, however we've yet to see episode two. I don't think it'll make any different, but I hope they won't dumb her, since charracters like Ferri (read mysterious and withdrawing) are usually forgotten and left behind.
