The fresh meat. Erin is only the second witch produced by her country (though she received her basic training in Fuso). In a moment of stunning common senses someone in charge decided that it might ease her transition to locate her in the same unit as her country women. Though she’s received basic instruction it was with a badly outdated training Striker and beyond that it was rushed as the need for additional troops took precedence over extensive training.
She gives off a fish out water vibe being easily befuddled, embarrassed, and agitated by the oddities around her. Having grown up in a small rural village she’s never really been more then a few miles from home let alone half way across the world and tossed in with a bunch of people that could charitably be described as “eccentric”. As the new guy she also normally draws any odious task no one else wants to do.
