in my opinion, the only reason this series will get canceled is if hoshino becomes too ill to continue. as long as she can still write, i doubt they will stop it. it has developed a strong fanbase over the years, and for a time it was one of the biggest selling manga in japan. besides, manga-ka have assistants who usually do half of the work that goes into drawing a manga series. she can always rely on them, probably why some of the drawings look odd. maybe she's no longer the one drawing, but the story is still hers.
i love the latest chapter. it reminded me of how fun d.gray-man could be. i love the flashback about cross marian and how he took care of allen. can't believe that guy actually cooked and cleaned for his pupil. no wonder he ended up enslaving allen when the latter was sane and healthy enough to be his student.
