Probably best that I come clean: I haven't been able to work much on Lone Wulf for the past half-year, sadly. University course crap kept scooping up a lot of my time, and gaming on League of Legends is a HUGE distraction.
That isn't to say I don't have a direction for my 11th Chapter for Lone Wulf. I've got one, but I haven't been able to put it to writing. I'll get it done at some point, but don't expect it too soon; still more crap coming my way and no end in sight.
But to tide you guys over, here's some of the direction I'm planning to take. Try not to read this, however, unless you're up to date on my story.
CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS!
Spoiler for Chapter 11: Promises to Keep:
- Throughout this chapter, Marina is shown to be suffering from depression and shell shock, primarily stemming from Catherine's death. She's somewhat lost the will to live, and seemingly wants to die in battle now.
- This chapter takes place onboard the Marmota, where the militia is trying to end the war once and for all.
- Welkin, seeing that Marina is in a catatonic state, feels her condition could spell disaster for the rest of the Sevens, who look up to her. He deeply considers discharging her from the squad, thinking that the fighting is going to drive Marina mad.
- Don't worry, Marina gets better, though it requires an... interesting psyche trip for her.
- I am trying HARD to make this Chapter include a great deal of psychological elements, though writing on it is very difficult. I'll nail it eventually...
- Maximilian is the main antagonist of the chapter, obviously, and I'm making some changes to make him a much more powerful threat.
- Marina is involved in the final confrontation against Maximilian. HOWEVER, Marina will not kill Maximilian, so don't worry about me jumping the shark.
- Faldio's death is going to be different from both the game and anime versions; I'm making my own twist. You'll probably find it much more to your liking.
- Selvaria's blade, which I have named Brunhilde, is a major plot object of the chapter.
- The promise Marina made to Alicia is a major plot point in this chapter. I won't say more than that...
There's more I could add, but that'd be spoiling too much.
Rest assured, when I finish it, this chapter will be good. But I'd rather get it write and take an eternity to finish it than finish it quickly and make a shoddy product. I'm a rather staunch follower of "Shiguru Miyamoto's Process".
