Geass isn't about Lelouch etc. geass is about the whole witch contract thing and a new cast and story is something that would do the series good
.. saying that is like saying gundam isn't gundam without the same cast being used over and over again but ofc you cannot compare gundam to geass but using the same characters would eventually become boring and would make the characters extremely flat in character development
That or people will hate Kallen or anyone for being OOC when they do manage an AU
