Adventures of Crayon Sin-bad chapter 3

The man Sin-chan saved is named Darius, and says he is a travelling merchant.
He claims he had a shipwreck and was washed aboard here.

Sin-chan climes on Darius's head and starts smacking his head around, exlaiming "Mister, Why is your head yellow!? I've never seen such hair!"
Darius tells him he came from a country far away from here, and there are many places in the world with different people and culture.
As he tells young Sindbad there are so many things the young boy has never seen outside this village, Sindbad is overwhelmed with sense of wonder and desire for adventure.

Badr is willing to let Darius stay here, as long as he doesn't cause any troubles.
His wife is against the idea however, they're already not on good terms with the village here... keeping a stranger is not good for their image.

Darius proved to be a very knowledgeable man, and a great story teller.
Sindbad listened to Darius' tale every day, hearing about the wonders of the world.

But the happy days did not last.
Word from the army of Paltevia reaches the village, to find and hand over a foreign spy.
Darius takes Sindbad as a hostage, and reluctantly reveals to him he is a spy from the Reim empire.
He threatens to kill the young boy if the villagers come any closer.


Sindbad's mother calls out for help, but the villagers look the other way.
They call her and her family traitors, who doesn't deserve their aid.

Badr asks Darius to let his son go.
Instead of confronting him, he puts his head to the ground and begs.
