ArchmageXin@ I recall the talk between Restia and Kamito(vol 3 or was 4..) when he say that he would protect everyone(the girls) and say to Restia that he would protect her as well.
So yeah the *white knight complex* is the perfect definition for him .
About the lost kitten comment if I recall right he say that during vol 1.
