The first season covered the whole first 6 volumes and some little part of vol 7. It covered little of the short stories which was only 1 of 4 short stories from vol 7.5 in episode 19. If there will be a second season it will probably only cover vol 7-10, and thus it will most likely be a one-cour series (12-13 episodes). Atsuko Ishizuka, the director, said at Sakura-con last week that it's hard to know if there will be a second season since the novels are not finished yet, but they might be able to make a second season if we buy lots of BD or DVD.
