I was thinking the EXACT same thing after watching this episode.
Spoiler for episode 7:
I'm now convinced that Hiromi and Shin aren't related from the seen with Shin's mother and Hiromi. She looked like she was going to confess to Hiromi it was a lie but Shin interrupted.
And If the stuff between Noe and Shin happened say in the last or next to last episode I would say she had momentum. BUT with it happening in episode 7... they (imo) aren't going to last the next 6 episodes.
I think they are just trying to set up Hiromi as the big underdog with both Noe/Ai-chan confessing. That way towards the end of the season they'll be like "omg hiromi and shin aren't related... SURPRISE... now they can confess and make sweet sweet love"
Poor Ai-chan (my fav) doesn't seem to have a shot though. Shin already admitted to liking Hiromi and Noe and has showed no interest in Ai-chan in that way. Plus Shin being friends with Nobuse will cause problems. POOR AI-CHAN
Great episode though. I like how every episode leaves you hanging. I'm always stuck here after I'm finished watch like "damnnnnn I wan't to see what happens next."
And about Ai-chan not being important. I half agree with you because I don't think she has a chance with Shin. If she was just a random third girl thrown into the mix then I probably would be a little annoyed. But I think the fact that Shin's best friend loves her adds a different dimension other then a plain old "Ok we just need a third girl to like Shin." So since the situation with her and Shin is slightly different then the other two girls, I don't mind it at all.
