And actually it could be if people strongly believe that conventional weaponry such as Missiles, Nukes, Projectile weapons IE Pistols or Rifles, can prove to be a powerful weapon and asset that can be used in combination with magic.
It's a possible system, and it makes sense. Tactically, a combination of both could potentially make a possibly deadly weapon.

That would be an interesting idea. Maybe somehow, they would "juice up" a conventional missile or whatever with "magic".
