Was the OP supposed to be a spoof of the usual shounen anime openings? The song and sequence sure felt like it. That's pretty much the only reason I can think of to make myself like the OP otherwise.
That aside, good start. Sugita is a master at reading out internal monologues. A bit dull because I've already watched the pre-air skits several times before this. Would have loved it much more if I hadn't done that. Very much looking forward to the non-pre-air portions.
One minor complaint is that I wish it actually had a bit more budget in it, just enough to not make basic movements look jerky. Alas, this kind of show normally doesn't warrant such funding.
