I seriously doubt the Kira/Fllay relationship would've started again even if she did live. There is too much damage there. I can see them patching things up somewhat but a relationship between them would've been extremely difficult to get back into. It probably would've made Kira open to Lacus more than was shown in the actual series... or he would've been killed by Rau.
I'm praying that the remaster of Destiny will shed some more light on the relationship between Kira and Lacus with maybe an extra scene or 2 added.
