I believe you are overreacting. We've only seen chapter 15, which is all the suspense without the buildup. Allow me to offer something more optimistic.
The
Monthly Comic Alive editorial blog mentioned the next tankobon volume of Iris Zero, which is to be released Jan 22, with the cover art also to be found on
the authors' official site. Karuho Shiina, mangaka of the hit Shoujo series Kimi ni Todoke, has kindly given a supportive comment to Iris Zero. Karuho seems to be a fan.
