He's not crazy at all as Fudou claims that he is the reincarnation of Fudou-myouou/Acala (so the Buddhist tradition still runs strong in Virgos lol) which is a deity in Buddhism whom has face showing extreme wrath and slains evil mercilessly, but on the other hand Fudou-myouou/Acala is also another form of the buddha Vairocana, whom is the kindest of all, and he only switch to this wrathful form in order to exterminate evil. So Fudou's "switching" is strictly according to the Buddhist mythologies.
Anyway this episode was a real throw back to the old series and was really tense, I wonder if that means Eden is going to mimic Ikki's method to defeat Fudou....
