Most of the passion seems to be in the world-building. Stuff like the "sound of the apocalypse," some of the settings (the various goofy towers, the cubical lock room from the beach episode, etc.), and some of the fight choreography. Not enough to hang a show on but a lot of effort's getting put into those aspects for sure.
But when it comes to the story, it kinda feels like two writers reluctantly combining two stories into a single one, with neither one fired up about the other's half of things.
