I don't really know where to post this question, so I just went ahead and postes it here, where I thought it was the most appropriate.

In the ??? of ep 3 Lambda tells Beatrice that she's only a temporary with under her guardianship, and as soon as she stops being her guardian she will stop being a witch. I was a litle curious about this sentence as it's not really mentioned later on in the series that Lambda is the one who made Beato a witch. My theory was that Lambda was her guardian in the Meta-world, but not on the actual gameboard, so she would allow Beatrice to have the powers as a game master. That's just my interpretation, but is there really another meaning to it?

Spoiler for Spoilers about 'LambdaDelta's diary' Tip:

According to the Tip, Lambda's Diary, Lambda is the one who recognized Beato as a witch, therefore 'turning her into a witch'. However Lambda placed a condition.

"I liked it.
......... I guess there's no problem.
Upon my name, I recognize you as a witch.
Upon my name, the name of Lamda-Delta, the witch of certainty!
As long as your 'Certain Magic World' continues being 'certain'.
I will continue being your guardian forever...!!"

I think the condition refers to the catbox. As nobody can open it Beato can 'exists' as a witch. However, if someone were to open it and reveal the truth, Beato would stop being a witch because her true nature would be revealed.
Though this is my interpretation.
