The only things left unsolved in Bleach are Isshin, squad zero, and the king IMO these things are all tied.
Take the TBTP arc, why even bring up a missing captain, squad zero, and Hikifune wanting to go to squad zero so fast. I have a crackpot theory that Hikifine is ichigo's mom and Ishin is the missing captain. If it's not exactly that, it's for sure all tied together somehow, I have a feeling.
