I gotta point I think it's awesome how attached we get to the characters we like.
They must've definitely done something right I say, to give us that feeling.
Like relentlessflame and I were discussing earlier, what I feel about DCSS is that it's a really well told story with a strong message, but it's not a happy one, and the message is also a sad one. For a while, I thought it was about moving on, but now, it looks more like it's about how harsh love can be on people. Moving on seems to be more like a secondary thing...or not really, but...DCSS shows the way
not to move on, the pain that people get before they actually start to move on...the way you'd fail to achieve happiness. That it's true that it sucks that this happens to our beloved Kotori and not to the selfish Nemu, seacher? That's true. But I say that's part of the point. Life's not always fair, and not always the nicest person gets what they want.
I don't know about you, searcher, but at first, I was really frustrated with this series. You probably remember. I have to say that thanks to relentlessflame I got to understand it a lot better, and I'm glad for that. But, I'll add that I still wish things hadn't gone this way, even if it's really well done...I like lighthearted, happy stuff a lot more than sad things. ^^;
I think the ending will show the girls
starting to move on maybe. I wouldn't count an epilogue into the future out because of DCII, but I wouldn't bet on it either. After all, it'd kinda undermine the message they're trying to give, which isn't a happy one. Unless they go beyond that analysis and show you the way -not- to be happy, and then what you should do to start building on your own happiness, in this kind of situation.
Episode 26, I'm waiting.
