Looks like your standard eight-tatami-mat-sized one-room place to me. I lived in one of those when I was in Japan. They're pretty much standard for single people living alone, unless you've got money, in which case you can get a two-bedroom-plus-living-and-kitchen place like Yuki has.
Anyway, the computer desk and books and such look appropriate for a computer club person, but I agree that for the female president it needs some more "girly" decor--stuffed animals, lighter colors, nicer curtains, etc.
