No... well not from what I gather. rather he was tortured, his life was made no more significant than dirt by humans. However, he didn't hate humans. He clung to a more specific description of his enemy, women. That's all there is to it. Gynophobia that was produced by sheer coincidence... or rather cowardice... to realize oneself is one's own enemy and to hate your own kin as well as yourself.
