Yes the original skill was called 'Jihad'. Both words mean about the same thing, but it might have been a choice to not offend religious people.
And not necessarily. If you play it right, come in at full Morale, you can make it through the fight without losing anyone. But odds are you'll have to sacrifice items you'd rather equip in order to recover your Morale afterwords since you'll suffer so much damage.
It's one of the levels where if you mess up and place a female unit at the lead, your gonna be in trouble...
