No, he is comming in the manga. Kubotite stated that he will be coming, he is locked inside soul city, and Aizen wants to release him. He is a self made arrancar and Aizen is affraid of him. His zanpakutou is the phoenix that was used as an execution weapon during the journey to save Rukia. Aizen has enough power already to destroy all of seiretei and its captains, but he wouldnt have enough power to supress Alturo. Thats why in the manga, he still doesnt attack Sereitei even he already had Vaslords in his command. He even joined the Vaslords with other kinds of hollows to make new arrancars just to supress Alturo.
