Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think "shiki" means death. When I read the manga Tsukihime, in the part where Tohno Shiki killed Nero, he asked for Shiki's name.. And he was like, ".. oh i see, so you're my
shiki" after hearing his name. By just looking at their abilities (Mystic Eyes of Death Perception), its as if they're death themselves.. =P
