Might I recommend Kimi ni Todoke? A truly phenomenal anime imo. I
literally cried every other episode of the first season (second is coming soon); but this
NOT because it is a sad anime, it's actually light-hearted with a bit of comedy in there. It's because it replicated my own life so closely that it hurt my heart to watch the main character go through that. The whole time I was like "GASP! That's me! BAAAAAAAW." >_< That aside, it's romantic, sweet, and innocent. Give that a go, perhaps.
Back on topic, I am hungrily awaiting english subs for epi 11!
