If the anime proceeds with Momoya's route or any specific girl's route in general, then most likely no. Yamato becomes very single-minded once he starts to focus on one girl, regardless if said girl is of the main cast or not. It's just that it may take him longer to get the "love" rolling in one case
. Although I did not know it's based on Momoya's bad end as I ignore these endings with passion.
@Majikoi's fighting sequences: They do not occur frequently, but - well - are being used as a major event generally. That is for the serious "battles".
The main point of Majikoi lies within the friendship of the Kazama family and/or YamatoXGirl except of the VNs true route in case of the latter.
