Yeah, I get that a lot. Many newcomers are also confused with the similarity of the titles. Although both of them are great series for their own genre.
If you can tolerate the mecha/robots in
FMP, I think you'll gonna enjoy
Full Metal Panic the first season, while you need to be prepared for blood and dark moments in
Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid.
